Dog bite leaves Minnesota woman with serious injuries

While there are many dogs who are friendly by nature, even the most sociable of dogs may be inclined to lash out and bite a person under certain conditions. According to authorities, the incident took place on a recent Wednesday evening as the woman was going from door to door handing out papers for a class. Reports indicate that she tried to leave one property after hearing a dog growling just inside the door. However, the dog forced its way through the glass door and bit her on the leg, and the animal continued to attack her until another person heard the screams and came to her aid. 

Authorities have advised that the woman suffered serious puncture wounds during the attack. Reports indicate that she was rushed to a hospital, where she was treated for numerous injuries and was forced to have as many as 26 staples put on her head. Authorities say that an investigation into the incident indicated that the dog’s owner had failed to properly latch the glass door and they have advised that this person is facing numerous charges following the incident.
